The weather looks to be great this weekend. It's time to take the family to check out the sturgeon run on the Wolf river. There are several spots along the river in New London and north of Shiocton. Stop in at your local bait shops for details. Season 3 coming up, I can't wait. This is my favorite time to hunt. The hens are starting to build nests and leave the gobbler's. The gobbler's in turn are looking and are easier to call. Tip of the day. If you have a tom responding to you and coming your way and he quits responding get ready!!!. My experience has been that many times they come in silent.
